THE LONGEST WAR: BEING A WOMAN IN THE MIDDLE EAST

Gender equality remains a major problem across the centuries. Even though the fight against this problem has evolved significantly across the globe. Even in the 21st century, this gender inequality persists globally in the Middle East, where this inequality rate is higher, problems such as domestic violence, unequal sharing of housework, and sexual violence already exist, and the pandemic has increased this even more. Within the scope of this study, the position and place of women in the region have been examined.

FUTURE OF BOLSONARO ADMINISTRATION IN BRAZIL

Brazil can be seen a country which have a political system that is Democratic compared to most Latin American countries and where its elections are based on competition. But the presidential election in Brazil, especially in 2018, has been controversial. With the right-wing government, many of the hoped-for things in the country have unfortunately not materialized. The country’s economic crisis is still ongoing and many human rights violations are taking place. Therefore, the throne of President Jair Bolsonaro, who leads in the 2018 elections, is also likely to swing in next year’s presidential elections. The president therefore has many concerns for his future.

AN ANALYSIS ON BRITISH-TURKISH RELATIONS 1919-39

After the geographical discoveries and colonial movements that the British Empire gained a lot through, a power hegemony started to appear concretely on the British axis. It would not be correct to match the age of British power hegemony to US power hegemony after the post-soviet era due to the other actors’ existence such as France and Italy. WOMEN IN TURKISH POLITICAL HISTORY

In 1923, before the foundation of the republic, Nezihe Muhiddin and her thirteen female friends joined together to form a committee to fight for the political and social rights of women. The presence of women working at the front and behind the front under the leadership of Nezihe Muhiddin led to the expression of women’s rights views for the next generations of women, the search for rights, and the production of louder and supportive voices.

SREBRENICA GENOCIDE

During the disintegration of Yugoslavia, the war started in 1992 when the Serbs and then the Croats attacked Bosnia and Herzegovina to invade and lasted until 1995. The Dayton Agreement was signed in 1995 with the initiatives of the European Union and the USA. In this way, Bosnia and Herzegovina are divided into regions as Serbs, Bosniaks, and Croats. In the war that lasted for more than three years, the invaders killed hundreds of thousands of Bosnian citizens in a planned and systematic way and expelled many people from their homes.

HEAVY COST OF INVASION: AFGHANISTAN

The fact that Afghanistan is in intercontinental strategic geography has attracted the attention of many states to this region from time to time. After being completely occupied by the Russians in 1979, the region naturally attracted the attention of the USA. As a result of the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon in the USA on September 11, 2001, Osama Bin Laden and his organization Al Qaeda in Afghanistan were invaded by the USA with the allegation that this attack was carried out, and the USA started the war against terrorism. Although the Afghanistan construction process lasted for years and the hope of stabilization did not reach a solution, this process was examined in this study.

THE IMPOVERISHING EFFECT OF PANDEMIC ON TURKEY

Epidemics have changed the global order throughout history. For example, the Plague epidemic was allowed the transition from feudalism to capitalism. Coronavirus, which appeared in Wuhan, China in 2019 and spread all over the world in 2020, has also affected the whole world socially, politically, and economically. However, since it is only a new case, the most devastating effect that can be seen is deepening poverty. What this study wants to emphasize is to try to explain with data how the coronavirus process deepens poverty in Turkey.
