WOMEN IN TURKISH POLITICAL HISTORY

In 1923, before the foundation of the republic, Nezihe Muhiddin and her thirteen female friends joined together to form a committee to fight for the political and social rights of women. The presence of women working at the front and behind the front under the leadership of Nezihe Muhiddin led to the expression of women’s rights views for the next generations of women, the search for rights, and the production of louder and supportive voices.

NEW EPISODE IN WORLD POLITICS: THE LONGER TELEGRAM

There has been an important development that has attracted the attention of international relations researchers. George Kennan wrote an 8,000-word report, The Long Telegram, which he sent to the US Department of State in 1946, addressing the alarming behavior of the USSR administration. The version of this report written against China was published by the famous research organization Atlantic Council.

COOPERATION OF TURKIC STATES: TURKIC COUNCIL

Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan were founding members of the “Turkish Speaking Countries Cooperation Council” which was established on 3 October 2009 by the Nakhchivan agreement that signed in Nakhichevan. Uzbekistan became a full member during the 7th Congress held in October 2019. Hungary, on the other hand, became an observer member during the 6th Congress held in the city of Cholpon-Ata in Kyrgyzstan in 2018. The member states have accepted the aims and principles of the United Nations Agreement and the universal doctrines of international law.

Feminism is a range of social movements, political movements, and ideologies that aim to define, establish, and achieve the political, economic, personal, and social equality of the sexes.[3]The person who gave the movement its name is the utopian socialist Charles Fourier. He defended that social development is only possible with more freedom for women. The feminist theory which emerged from these movements has spread many fields such as philosophy, economics, international relations etc. The theory focuses on lots of notions including oppression and patriarchy in societies and it wants to find reasons and results of gender inequality.
